Vincent Family Thanksgiving Day
Adam and his wife Andrea generously invited us all to their house for Thanksgiving dinner.
Adam is the youngest of my 8 children. His older brothers John and David and Sister
Sarah weren't able to be there. Sarah is in an assisted living home. John and most of his
family went to visit his brother David and wife Marie in Alabama.
Some of the grandchildren and their families also couldn't make it.
Those who could made it a real joy, especially the newest member of the family!
Guests began arriving at 5:00 P.M.
Our missionaries were already there. Adam and Andrea always invite them.
Next, we got to meet my daughter Karen's boyfriend Matthew for the first time.
Adam looked seriously involved. You'd never know so many of these kids were Roll Tide fans,
would you? Adam played in the Million Dollar Band when he was in college.
Andrea looked busy preparing things as her son Lucas Vincent looked on.
Lucas's sister, Kayla, looks cozy under this afghan her grandmother crocheted.
Lucas took his place by his other sisters Bianca and Alyssa.
While I was in the living room, I asked my daughter Rainey for a pose.
Back in the den, Rainey's daughters Abby and Rebecca gave me a friendly wave.
Here's our newest addition,
Lilly Arnold, with her parents Porter and Mayson, and Porter's parents
JoAnna and Glen Arnold along with Porter's sister Lydia and
Porter's nephew, Thomas Arnold
(our great-grandson). We were so glad to see our tiny great-granddaughter, Lilly.
Our grandson is a proud father. His dad set a good example.
Karen posed for a picture, sort of.
5 of my 8 children were there so they decided to act silly for a group picture.
Finally, those of us snapping pics persuaded them to settle down. L to R are:
Adam Vincent (our youngest son), Karen Vincent, her kid sister Leah Vincent Wallace
(Leah is our youngest child), JoAnna Vincent Arnold, and Rainey Vincent Sandoval.
Last but not least, here's a group photo of we older adults. L to R are:
Matthew Schwengels, Karen Vincent, JoAnna Vincent Arnold, Glen Arnold,
Adam Vincent, Rainey Vincent Sandoval, Andrea Vincent, Linda, me (Ron),
Leah Vincent Wallace, and her husband, Ed Wallace.
We hope y'all had a happy Thanksgiving Day, 2024! We really enjoyed ours.
