August 5, 2010 - Day 4 Part 2



This part of the trip was filled with mostly interesting things to see along the highway, like this rock formation.


... or this one.


We entered a tunnel on I-80.


I wonder if this is how they get that glow effect in the movies??


More interesting rocks.


I forget what they called these, maybe nothing special.  Looked pretty interesting to us, though.


Then there was this guy which reminded me of what mashed potatoes look like when served up in a military chow hall.


Beats me what these things are.  The countryside was dotted with them.  There lots of oil and gas wells throughout western Wyoming.  Maybe that's what this is?  Or maybe it's just a water well.  Don't know.


One thing I do know, I saw lots of irragation as we approached Utah.  Here's a little pond surrounded by the greenest grass I saw for miles.


They use it to raise hay and support sheep.


I loved these old buildings...
