August 4, 2010 - Day 3 Part 2
As
we neared western Nebraska and crossed into Wyoming, we saw several
interesting things. Here is a photo of some bluffs in west
Nebraska.
I didn't get a photo
of the "Welcome to Wyoming" sign this trip. You'll have to settle
for a photo we took in 2007. But I do have some advice.
Before
taking a photo from a car going 80 mph, make sure your camera is
powered on! You may only get one chance.
These are some old buildings on a farm in Wyoming.
We couldn't figure out what this is. The color was interesting,
though.
No question what this is. As many sunflower seeds as are sold,
they must grow the sunflowers some place!
There were quite a few oil wells we noticed before we reached our
destination.
Here's a new well as it's being drilled.
This should be self explanitory, obviously placed there by the Roman
Catholic Church.
And here's the famed Union Pacific.
I'd gladly tell you what these are if I knew. I have no idea what
signals they're used to receive.
Here's a closer look.
We saw wind generators, small ones...
... and Large ones.
There were quite a few rolling hills in Wyoming.
Not sure what these hills are called.
I'll wager many a photographer has taken photos of these formations.
They were all over the place as we neared Cheyenne.
Here are some others, different, but interesting.
This is not some weird type fence for animals. It's to hold back
huge snow drifts.
But I'm tired. Time to act re-tired. I'm headed into our
motel.
Good night!
