We
went to the Provo Temple this morning then stopped by BYU to sign up
for their annual "Education Week" where participants get to go seminars
on religion for a week. Classes are taught by BYU
professors. We've never had the chance to go to this so we're
pretty excited.
Sorry for the snow pic of the temple. I didn't get to take any
photos of it this afternoon so I used a photo we took back in November
2006.
After we came back home we went to a birthday party we were invited to
celebrating the birthday of Ruth, the wonderful lady whose home we
visited Sunday.
We also celebrated her son David's birthday since his was only 4 days
ago.
While they waited on the food to be served, the kids played lawn games.
Finally the table was spread.
... and the kids weren't the only ones waiting. Sorry, Coco,
you'll have to wait for leftovers.
As we finished eating some other friends of the family arrived to wish
Ruth a happy birthday.
We adults visited and chatted with each other.
Sometimes the kids played...
... and sometimes they just enjoyed each other's company.
... while some of them seemed to be having a lot of fun alone.
I gave Ruth a birthday card that was glued shut. The front said,
"It took a while, but we finally decided what we wanted to give you for
your birthday."
The back of the card said, "... A Hard time."
Afterward, I accompanied the kids on my guitar while they sang some old
favorites.
The rest joinied in.
After the party was over everyone went back to the house where we're
staying.
The girls had a scrap booking party.
The boys played a really serious game of Dungeons and Dragons.
I thought the perfect end to a fun day would be this photo of sunset
over Utah Lake. Linda took this last night from our friends'
deck.
We're enjoying ourselves here.
