2014-05-08 Pool Install Day-2 -- Electrical
I can do small electrical jobs
like when I remove a wall I also have to move a switch or base plub.
I can't do major electrical jobs. For this job, I called on
my good friend Mike Thigpen. His construction company does most
anything. Mike had his crew dig a trench and run the wire under
the house. From the house, the underground wire was placed in a
conduit.
The
other end of the conduit of course came up at the pool pump. Mike
also ran a loop for me at the deck so I could have a base plub there.
He ran 10/3G which gave us the two circuits needed.
Here's a view from the pool end of the trench.
Mike worked late into the night finishing the job.
Here's the outdoor base plug for the deck.
Mike installed the timer.
Here it is again in the day time.
The timer is used to turn the pump on and off as well as run the skimmer daily from 9 AM until 5 PM.
The two circuits Mike ran to my breaker box are marked "Pool Pump" and "Deck Recep."
